As is already traditional, every year we take part in events dedicated to World Money Week.
The official theme this year is “Choose reliable (unbiased) financial information, take care of your financial future”. Second-year students of the specialty “IT Marketing” took part in an interesting and useful lecture by Tetiana Kopaihorodska, a lecturer of finance and financial literacy ambassador of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals. Topics discussed:
- the activities of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals, whose main task is to protect the rights of depositors and increase trust in the banking system;
- the specific features of deposit guarantees: which deposits are guaranteed by the Fund and which are not;
- what to do when a bank is declared insolvent.
The students actively discussed real cases, asked questions and received practical advice on financial management.
