The professional skills competition “Best Refrigeration Technician” is an annual professionally oriented event held by the subject committee for specialised refrigeration courses of OTPC ONTU with the aim of popularising specialty 142 “Energy Engineering” and its educational and professional programmes, both among students and among prospective applicants. This year the final stage took place on 10.05.24, at the end of the maintenance and operation placement of full-time division groups: 3KV-08/11, 3MKh-57.
The competition programme:
1. A test on electrical engineering and the electrical equipment of refrigeration units;
2. Diagnostics of the electrical part of a hermetic compressor;
3. Working operations with copper pipe and specialised tools: cutting, reaming, flaring, expanding, cleaning;
4. Open-flame work when joining copper pipe blanks - brazing.
The winners were determined by the total score:
1st place - Chuta Oleksii, group 3MKh-57;
2nd place - Mavrodi Vitalii, group 3MKh-57;
3rd place - Smoliar Maksym, group 3KV-08;
4th place - Onishchenko Andrii, group 3MKh-57;
5th place - Lopotan Oleksii, group 3KV-08;
6th place - Yasiukevych Volodymyr, group 3MKh-57.
The competition was run and judged by: placement supervisors, lecturers of the highest category – A.P. Selivanov, Candidate of Technical Sciences S.M. Petushenko, Head of the Workshops – A.I. Zhupanov, Head of the Subject Committee – lecturer-methodologist - I.V. Berkan.
