Scientific and practical conference of student youth

On 9 October 2025, lecturers of the Subject Committee for Social Sciences and Humanities of OTPC ONTU Raisa Spirzhenko and Viktor Myroshnychenko held a scientific and practical conference of student youth on the topic “Academic Integrity: Challenges, Problems and Prospects”.

Great help in organising and holding the conference was provided by the Economics Division (Voronkova Yu. V.), the Technology Division (Kasadzhyk V. V.), the Subject Committee for Economic Disciplines (Kovalenko N. S.) and the Subject Committee for Food Technology and Chemistry (Ilchyshyna N. M.).

The conference was attended by students of the 1st–2nd years of the Economics Division and the 3rd–4th years of the Technology Division of OTPC ONTU. Students from several professional pre-higher education institutions of Odesa Oblast also sent their reports and presentations.

The topics of the reports covered various aspects of the problem of academic integrity. Particularly noteworthy were the reports and presentations by the following students: “Integrity and Academic Integrity. Living Honestly Is What Defines Us” (Eva Rotar, Anastasiia Pavliuk, group 3 MK-23); “Academic Integrity in Commodity Science” (Zaryna Kaletynska, group 2 TT-27); “Academic Integrity and Customs” (Mariia Burdeliia, group 2 TT-27); “Academic Integrity and Artificial Intelligence” (Artem Volskyi and Kyrylo Samsonikov, group 2 IM-07); “Academic Integrity of a Customs Service Worker” (Yuliia Hrabovenko, group 2 TT-27); “Academic Integrity: Challenges of the Present” (Daria Myroshnychenko, Evelina Vorobiova, group 1 IM-08); “Academic Integrity in Catering” (Daryna Kalanda, group 4 HKh-02); “Academic Integrity in the Food Industry” (Sofiia Katrechko, group 4 TKh-78), and others.

At the end of the conference, the participants drew the conclusion that preventing corruption, raising awareness of corruption and building a general culture of integrity are the main tasks for all participants in the modern educational process in Ukraine. Therefore, developing educational documents on combating corruption and promoting integrity, supporting the exchange of knowledge, and building partnerships between institutions of higher and professional pre-higher education are important areas that we must develop through joint efforts already today.
