It all began with a visit to the MODERN-EXPO company's exhibit at the Expo Ukraine-25 exhibition, where our college received an invitation to an introductory excursion to the company's enterprise in the city of Lutsk. After almost two months of negotiations, both sides agreed on a date, a group was formed, tickets were bought and suitcases were packed.
On 16 April 2025, 19 students and 5 lecturers of the College, led by Director Liliia Ivanova, set off for Lutsk. The next morning, 17 April, the group was greeted by pleasant spring warmth, and Ms Ivanna Ostapchuk, a representative of the company, warmly welcomed us and arranged a transfer by two buses to the JV LLC “MODERN-EXPO”.
Our acquaintance with the enterprise began in a welcoming atmosphere: the modern design of the office premises, fragrant coffee, tasty sandwiches and a sincere conversation. Before entering the production workshops, we were given an occupational safety briefing and issued innovative audio devices that allowed us to hear the guide clearly even in noisy areas.
The enterprise is impressive in scale – an area of 72,000 m² and more than 3,500 employees engaged in computer design, software development, management, service, and the production of refrigeration and commercial equipment. The company manufactures a variety of display cases, cash registers, showcases, shelving and other innovative equipment.
After the excursion, we were invited to the enterprise's cosy canteen – a location that will be a real discovery for students in the catering field.
During a friendly and constructive discussion between the administration of the College and of the enterprise, opportunities for cooperation were discussed. The result was a signed cooperation agreement, and some students have already expressed a wish to do their work placement at this very enterprise.
Gratitude and impressions of what we saw were visible on the face of every participant.
After the official part, another vivid event awaited us – an excursion to Lubart's Castle. Despite some difficulties with city transport, we reached one of the city's landmarks. The castle turned out to be cosy and impressed everyone, leaving a feeling of pride, like a younger brother of our Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi giant.
This short but eventful trip left pleasant memories and inspired us to new achievements.
