For the Birthday of one of the most famous numbers in the world – the number π – Kachan T.V. held an educational and engaging mathematical event for students of groups 2 KS-61, 1 TT-28/ML-01 and 1 KG-13.
The participants plunged into the amazing world of mathematics during a presentation, where they learned interesting facts about the number π, the history of its discovery, its use in science and technology, as well as records for memorising its decimal digits. The students listened with interest and discovered new sides of this mysterious mathematical symbol. The presentation concluded with listening to the music of the number π. The students were invited to listen to a musical composition created on the basis of the sequence of digits of π. Each digit of its decimal expansion was matched to a particular note, which made it possible to turn a mathematical sequence into an original melody.
After the presentation, a fun mathematical quiz took place. The participants answered questions related to the number π, mathematical facts and logic problems. The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, the students actively joined in the discussions and competed eagerly for the correct answers.
