Ukrainian fashion and education made a resounding statement on the international stage. On 27 September, as part of the Fashion For Freedom project in Milan, at the Sheraton San Siro hotel, a large-scale showcase of clothing and footwear collections by contemporary Ukrainian designers and student work from educational institutions of Ukraine took place.
Odesa Technical Professional College of ONTU was an active participant in this prestigious event, presenting two collections at once:
The adaptive footwear collection “A Step Beyond the Limits”.
This collection demonstrates an innovative approach to design and production, as it was made using the recycling technique. It highlights the importance of environmental awareness and social inclusion by offering adaptive footwear. The works were created by students of specialty 182/G15 Light Industry Technologies under the guidance of lecturer Natalia KUZINA.
The collection “The Charm of Eras”.
A unique collection that combines history and modernity, created on the basis of historical Ukrainian national women's costume. This project became an example of successful cooperation, being a student work in collaboration with the NGO “Golden Mean”. It was supervised by lecturers and practical training instructors Natalia KUZINA and Olena VOVK.
Participation in the showcase confirmed the ability of Ukrainian young people to create not only aesthetic but also socially responsible and innovative fashion products. The College continues to integrate the Ukrainian educational community into the global space of fashion and design.
