The Subject Committee for Philological Disciplines of the Separate Structural Subdivision “Odesa Technical Professional College of ONTU” traditionally organised and held, from 7 to 11 March, educational events for the birthday of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, "Kobzar, your words are seeds that grow in our hearts".
To honour the memory of the outstanding master of the word, prophet and patriot of Ukraine, Ukrainian literature lecturer M. M. Burundukova and students of groups 1RP-11, 1KS-61 and 1MK-24\MI-05 carried out preparatory work, researching the writer’s works and interesting bibliographic details, and took excursions along the creative paths of the Kobzar. The fruitful work culminated in substantive reports and presentations, which confirmed that the words of T. H. Shevchenko are prophetic even today, and in the days of war and the struggle for independence, for the Ukrainian nation, culture and land, they sound especially relevant. The students recited well-known lines of poetry and read quotations and opinions about the poet by well-known literary scholars and artists. The Kobzar’s creative appeals and instructions inspire the struggle for our Ukraine.
“Love your Motherland and your native language as the late Taras Shevchenko loved them. For his memory this will be the best reward and a monument not made by hands.” A. R. Tsereteli.
