Immersive Methods in the Educational Process

On 2 December 2025, Olena Shymko, a lecturer of the Subject Committee for Economics and Commodity Science, joined the professional training course “Economic Education Accelerator”.

The training was led by Nataliia Melnyk, Director of the Bendukidze Free Market Center, an expert in economics teaching methodology and the author of innovative educational approaches.

The main focuses of the training:

A study of the learning process, including cognitive characteristics, types of perception and factors in the effectiveness of mastering material.

A discussion of the advantages (deeper understanding, motivation) and potential difficulties of immersive learning (the immersion effect).

Working through practical methods and techniques for integration into lessons on economics, financial literacy and related subjects.

Modelling lessons, creating learning situations and analysing pedagogical cases.

A review of modern digital resources, simulators and interactive materials for strengthening the teaching of economics.

Taking part in the training was an important opportunity for professional development, as the knowledge gained will help to implement modern teaching methods effectively, increase students’ motivation and develop the practical skills that future professionals need.
