On 27 November, Anna Sokolova, a student of group 2KB-05, supervised by Ivan Anatoliiovych Zhupanov, lecturer in the theory of electric and magnetic circuits, took part in the IV Regional Scientific and Practical Student Conference on Electrical Engineering “Electrical Machines and Their Use in Various Fields”.
The topic of her presentation was “The Use of Micromotors in Computers, Household Appliances and Other Fields”. In her speech, the student explained the importance of these small but extremely significant “hidden” elements of modern technology, and drew attention to the trends towards reducing the size of micromotors and increasing their energy efficiency.
The part of the presentation in which Anna highlighted the requirements that the modern medical field places on micromotors made a particular impression on the conference participants. It dealt with ultra-miniature motors made of biocompatible materials, used in robotic surgical systems, endoscopic equipment and insulin pumps. It is precisely the high precision and reliability of such motors that literally saves people’s lives, as it makes extremely complex surgical manipulations and precise dosing of medicines possible.
Taking part in the conference made it possible to immerse oneself in the fascinating and multifaceted world of electrical machines – from powerful industrial units to microscopic motors that work literally “on the edge of the possible”.
The event was informative, extremely interesting and gave the students valuable experience of scientific communication.
We sincerely congratulate Anna on her successful presentation and wish her further scientific achievements!
