Class hour for Ukrainian Women’s Day in group 1KS-61

On 26 February 2025, in group 1KS-61, group tutor A. A. Kryvchenko held an educational class hour devoted to Ukrainian Women’s Day. During the event, students learned about outstanding Ukrainian women who made a significant contribution to various spheres of life:

Princess Olha – the first female ruler of Kyivan Rus, who carried out important reforms and established diplomatic relations.

Lesia Ukrainka – an outstanding poet, writer and fighter for women’s rights.

Solomiia Krushelnytska – an opera singer who conquered the stages of the world.

Kateryna Bilokur – an artist who made Ukrainian folk painting famous.

Lina Kostenko – a contemporary poet, a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit.

Besides historical figures, students also learned about Ukrainian women who defend the country’s independence today. Among them:

Yaroslava Mahuchikh – a track and field athlete who, despite the war, continues to bring glory to Ukraine at international competitions.

Yuliia Paievska (“Taira”) – a paramedic who saved soldiers and civilians in the combat zone.

Olha Reshetylova – a volunteer who helps Ukrainian defenders.

Women in the military – hundreds of Ukrainian women serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fight on the front line, and work in intelligence, logistics and medicine. The event helped students appreciate the enormous contribution of Ukrainian women to the development and defence of the country. Ukrainian women are strength, courage and inspiration, leading our state to victory.
