On 6 October, a specialised lecture on “The Influence of Ceramics on the Formation of the Modern Fashion Industry” was held for students of specialty 182/G15 “Light Industry Technologies”, delivered by specialised courses lecturer Natalia KUZINA. The lecture examined how the aesthetics of ceramic art — form, texture, surface, colour and compositional harmony — influence the development of modern clothing, footwear and accessory design. For designers, ceramics is a source of inspiration: from the natural lines and relief surfaces of clay to glossy glazes, which are embodied in fabrics, decorative elements and structural solutions in costume. The students became familiar with examples of the use of ceramic motifs in the collections of leading fashion brands and discussed trends in combining art, craft and technology in modern design. The aim of the event was to broaden the professional outlook of future specialists, develop creative thinking and foster an understanding of the importance of artistic heritage as a basis for creating innovative design solutions.
