On 16 October, in groups 1KG-11, 1KB-05 and 1KS-61 of the Separate Structural Subdivision “Odesa Technical Professional College of ONTU”, under the guidance of group tutors A. S. Zhadan, D. V. Dzhabrailov and A. A. Kryvchenko, an educational hour was held on the topic “Academic Integrity – a Requirement of Ukrainian Education Legislation”. The students were introduced to the Declaration on Academic Integrity of the Separate Structural Subdivision “Odesa Technical Professional College of Odesa National University of Technology”.
Students of group 1KG-11, namely I. V. Slavuta, T. Ye. Dosmanova, A. V. Dombrovska, S. S. Fedotov and A. O. Smyrnyi, prepared papers for public presentation. During the conversation, they discussed the meaning of the concept of “academic integrity”, its basic principles, the reasons for violations of academic integrity and the types of punishment for academic dishonesty. After discussing this issue, A. S. Zhadan drew conclusions: it is necessary to improve skills in working with sources of information and to learn to form one’s own opinion and vision. After all, honestly obtaining a quality education is the key to one’s own success.
